Filipino Sinangag Recipe

Sinangag Ingredients:
4 cups of day old steamed rice; cold and well preserved
1/4 cup shrimps; shelled
1/4 cup ham; chopped
6 cloves garlic; minced
2 well beaten eggs; fried and sliced in pieces
Cooking oil (olive oil preferred)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon stems of scallions; chopped
Sinangag Cooking Preparation:
Sauté garlic and when browned, add ham, shrimps, and little salt to taste. Using high heat, add rice and thoroughly mix well for 5 minutes with the other ingredients. Add eggs and scallions. Continue mixing until all ingredients are well blended. Salt and pepper in preference to your taste. Remove from fire and serve.
Cooking Tips
A leftover steamed rice and pork and chicken adobo is a good combination for Sinangag recipe.
Other meat ingredients that you can use are bacon, tocino, sausage, corned beef, fried fish, etc.
Other vegetable ingredients that you can use are onion, green peas, carrots, tomato, potato, etc.
