Filipino Spaghetti Ingredients:
2 lbs spaghetti noodles
1 1/2 lbs ground meat (pork or beef)
4 pieces hotdog; sliced
2 cups banana ketchup
2 cups tomato sauce
1 small can liver spread
3/4 cup condensed milk
3 cloves garlic; minced
1 onion; minced
1 cup grated cheese
Brown sugar
Salt to taste
Cooking oil
Filipino Spaghetti Cooking Instructions:
Cook the spaghetti noodles according to package instructions.
In a saucepan or wok, sauté garlic and onion. Add ground meat and when brown, season with salt to taste. Add slices of hotdogs and cook further for 1/2 minute. Add tomato sauce, banana ketchup, liver spread, 1/4 cup grated cheese, and milk. Stir, then add water little by little to achieve your preferred thickness of the sauce. Simmer and balance the sweetness of the sauce with brown sugar according to your taste.
Pour the sauce on top of the spaghetti noddles, then garnish with the remaining grated cheese.
Cooking Tip:
Any cheese will do but cheddar cheese is recommended for a cremier taste.
Finely sliced carrots can also be added in the spaghetti sauce.
