Filipino Leche Flan (egg yolk)

Leche Flan (egg yolk) Ingredients:

10 egg yolks (pula ng itlog); well beaten
1 big can evaporated milk
1 big can condense milk
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 moulds (lyanera) container
Aluminum foil
3/4 cup water

Leche Flan (egg yolks) Cooking Instructions:

Mix water and sugar in the moulds. Parboil in very low fire until it turns brown and sticky. Do not overcook the sugar.

In a bowl, mix the following ingredients:  egg yolks, evaporated milk, condensed milk, and vanilla. Pour the mixture in the moulds and cover with aluminum foil. Steam for about 15 - 20 minutes. Remove from the steamer. Cool it down before serving.

Cooking Tip:

You can also bake it for 45 minutes 370F placing the lyanera in the middle of a bigger tray half filled with water. - Mecca

to cook biko - sticky rice
firstly, half cook the sticky rice. Then place coco milk + coco cream, brown sugar, grated ginger in a pan and boil. Once boiling, mix the sticky rice well in the pan and lower the heat until everything is absorbed. then arrange in a flat dish, cool then ready to eat. to make it more delicious top it up with `latik'. happy eating

I am looking for a may be a dessert recipe. My daughter-in-law is Phillipino and bought a them at an asian shop for me. It's a rice cake, but she can't recall the name. They were small, round, soft, green, and deliicious ! I called the shop, but the lady didn't speak very good english and it's in another state. Thank you !

Recipe for Sutonghon and Bico
Sorry not sure of the spelling. My dad use to cook Sutanghon with dried shrimp and sometime chicken. when i go to the store there are so many noodles. What noodles(glassy) what is the name of the noodles to buy for sutanghon?
also do you have the recipe for Bico? Sticky rice with brown sugar and coconut, how do I cook that. Thank you so much. My dad was Filipino from Albay Tabacco in PI but has passed away. I remember how to cook adobo and pancit and lumpiab ut that is all I remember. thank you for your time.
