  Boiled Chicken with Rice

Ingredients

1 chicken (cut into serving pieces)
1 head ginger (peeled and crushed)
2 tablespoons rice
3 onion leaves (cut in short lengths)
1 tomato (diced)
Salt to tast
Patis

Preparations

Saute the chicken and ginger, then sprinkle with little salt. Pour enough water in a cooking pot to cover the chicken. Add the rice, and tomatoes. Bring to boil. Stir once in a while. When the chicken is tender, drop the onion leaves. Simmer for a few minutes, then remove from the fire. Season with patis (fish sauce) according to taste. Serve hot!
